Even though it could be difficult, this is just the start of a very important business procedure. Recruiters must continue to put in the same amount of effort and dedication throughout the hiring process, even after prospects have been shortlisted. Finding candidates is merely the first step in what many experts believe to be a multi-stage process.

Why Is Recruitment Important?

An illustration of an employer having a handshake with his employees

The recruitment process is crucial for businesses to identify the right candidates. Employers must make the most of their recruiting strategies, particularly in the applicant-driven market of today. Because there is such a demand for talented workers, recruiting procedures must be made more attractive to candidates. To do this, they must make sure that every step of the hiring process goes well. This procedure must be optimised in order to attract the best candidates and enhance the overall candidat experience.

Most often, when people consider the recruitment process, they just think about recruiting people—getting them to apply to your firm. In reality, there are really seven steps in the recruitment process, with actual recruitment being the second. To ensure that you are running a full and effective recruitment process, you must comprehend and adhere to all seven processes.

  1. Define Your Ideal Candidate
  2. Attract And Source Candidates
  3. Shortlist Applicants into Candidates
  4. Screen Shortlisted Candidates
  5. Interview
  6. Check for Refrences
  7. Onboarding and Introduction

Who is your ideal candidate?

The Process So Far

You’re prepared to go on to the next phase of the hiring process, which is locating and luring talent, if you’ve previously received applications for an available position. Determining your ideal candidate was the step before this, in which you, as the employer, chose the “ideal” candidate. Later on in the screening process, this step will be crucial, but for the time being, it will assist you know what qualities to look for in a potential applicant.

The candidate experience then begins with attracting your current applications, which is what you want to do next. The most crucial part of this procedure is communication between recruiters and applicants. For candidates, waiting for recruiters to respond or not hearing back at all can be extremely frustrating and alienate them from your brand. For this reason, whetheryou’re expressing your apologies or preparing for the next stage, it’s imperative that you get in touch with applications as soon as possible.

Many recruiters utilise recruitment automation tools to speed up this procedure and guarantee that candidates have a favourable experience right away. These tools are helpful for expediting responses and informing candidates of any options or schedule adjustments. Once application begin to come in, it’s time to move on to the next round of the hiring process.

The Next Steps

As we continue with the hiring process, let’s examine the following steps;

Shortlist Applicants into Candidates

The third stage of the hiring process is shortlisting candidates from applicants. Although it could seem that candidates and applicants are interchangeable, there is a difference to be made. An applicant is somebody who submits a job application to your company. On the other hand, candidates are potential workers who have a good chance of being hired and who are likely to move on to the interview stage.

The number of applicants who become candidates depends on how many applications move on to the next phase. By identifying potential problems early on, employees can use this information to enhance the hiring procedure. If too many candidates withdraw from consideration before the screening and interview phases, there can be a problem. You can use it to keep tabs on the number of people that click on your job posting and the number of applications.

Screen Shortlisted Candidates

Now that you have a concise list of applicants, it is time to begin screening your candidates. This essential stage determines which candidates will move on to the employment process interview stage. When vetting potential candidates, it’s crucial to be diverse in your choices and to establish expectations.

Comparing your actual applications to the profile you developed during this phase with the ideal candidate you selected in step one may be helpful, but keep in mind that no prospect will exactly suit your “ideal.”

Instead, list both desirable aspects, such as personality, and necessary characteristics, such as experience and education. If candidates are proceeding to the next step, the interview stage, using automated pre-screening technologies can help speed up the process and ensure that they receive a prompt response.

Interview

An image of an employer conducting an interview with a candidate

After prospects have been screened, it is time to set up and hold interviews. This process includes critical scheduling for convenience and effectiveness. The majority of the candidates you’ll be speaking with most certainly have scheduled interviews elsewhere. Therefore, it’s crucial to schedule interviews as soon as you can and at times that work for your prospects.

When several interviews are required, calendar software can help recruiters resolve scheduling issues. This can expedite the scheduling process and make it simpler for both parties to match availability, allowing for the accommodation of all candidates. It can also be advantageous to offer slots during lunch or during regular business hours for people who are currently employed.

Reference Check

When a candidate has successfully completed the interview process and is a strong contender for the position, it is a good idea to check references. This method can assist you in selecting from a large pool of qualified candidates while confirming their qualifications.

It’s crucial to exercise patience at this point and wait to rule out any potential candidates until after they’ve accepted an offer with all requirements satisfied and a start date established. If you don’t, you run the risk of losing the candidate or having them perform poorly on the pre-employment test.

If that’s the case, by deliberately rejecting other candidates, you’ve missed out on some great backup candidates because it’s very difficult to reinstate a candidate after they’ve been fired. Until a new hiring is completed, stay in touch with potential applicants during the reference check process to let them know they are still being considered.

Onboarding & Introduction

The hiring process’s last stage is onboarding. You can start the onboarding process for a candidate once they accept an offer and join your company as a new hire. Each organisation will go through this stage differently, but it is necessary for a smooth transition.

A successful onboarding programme should provide new hires with enough knowledge and resources, training, and mentoring. Making new hires feel welcome at your company is crucial, and it also significantly improves team member retention and job happiness over the long term.

The importance of effective recruitment in the growth of a company cannot be overstated. In reality, the hiring process is a crucial company function that is typically viewed as a tedious and time-consuming chore.

The future expansion and success of your business depend on your ability to attract and keep new talent. The candidate experience during your recruitment process can make or break your company in terms of further hiring attempts. It’s crucial that your hiring procedure be quick and well-planned as a result.

By carefully following the seven steps of the recruitment process, you can make sure that candidates have a favourable view of your company from the very first engagement. Candidates will be enthusiastic to work for your business as a result, regardless of whether they are hired immediately away or opt to apply again later. With the right tools for recruitment and a well-structured recruitment process, your company can quickly get talented candidates.

Everything About NFTs You Should Know

NFT is a topic making rounds in the digital world. With millions of dollars being used to purchase arts daily, the question, “what is NFT?”, is raised. How does NFT work? Is it a cryptocurrency? Where can you get one? How much can you buy one? In this article, I will be providing answers to these questions and other questions NFT-related questions. You will get to know everything about NFTs.

So, let’s dive right into it.

What Is NFT?

A monkey NFT

An NFT (Non-fungible token) is a digital asset that is built with blockchain technology to make each of them unique, secure, original, and unable to be replicated.

Its unique and non-fungible nature makes it unreplaceable, and non-interchangeable.

These tokens have unique data saved on them, which makes the validation and verification of ownership easy. This data also helps ease the process of transferring NFT ownership.

One of the renowned examples of NFT is the digital artwork that was sold by Beeple for a whopping $69 million.

But contrary to what most people believe, NFT is not only used for digital artwork. It could be music, a domain name, real estate, a photograph, an essay, or a game.

It could even be a good tweet. Funny, right? The CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey recently sold one of his tweets for close to $3 million.

It could also be a video reel, like the cosmic dunk by Lebron James is currently being sold at $208,000.

Features Of NFT

  • They are unique.
  • They cannot be duplicated.
  • They are secure.
  • They are scarce.
  • They are transparent.

Is NFT A Cryptocurrency?

No, it isn’t. However, it is built with the same blockchain technology that was used to build cryptocurrencies.

A major feature that differentiates them is the Non-Fungible nature of NFTs which makes it impossible to trade them, unlike cryptocurrency.

However, NFTs can also be built under a blockchain network of a particular cryptocurrency such as Ethereum, and traded using that particular cryptocurrency as a native token.

Where Can I Buy and Sell NFT?

Where to buy and sell NFTs

The safest and most common place to buy and sell your NFT is an NFT marketplace. There are several marketplaces you can make use of, they include:

  • OpenSea
  • Decentraland
  • Rarible
  • Foundation
  • SuperRare
  • Mintable

OpenSea

The OpenSea marketplace is without a doubt the largest NFT marketplace in existence.

Apart from being the world’s first NFT marketplace, it also has a mining tool that aids creators to make their own items and collections.

This platform gives you access to countless digital assets of all kinds and more than 100 payment options.

It also includes ERC-721 and ERC – 1155 tokens and makes the development of smart contracts stress-free for creators.

OpenSea Marketplace is also currently rated as the most secure NFT marketplace in the world.

This marketplace charges a commission of 2.5% on all transactions carried out and gives you a royalty of up to 10%.

There is a gas fee that also has to be paid but it is based on the demand and supply of the token.

Signing up on this platform is free.

Decentraland

It is a fun-filled marketplace that allows the transactions of digital estate and has a lineup of virtual parties, casino nights, etc. Decentraland is very secure and allows the use of Ethereum for transactions.

This marketplace charges a commission of 2.5% on all transactions.

Rarible

Rarible is another great marketplace that you can use to sell or buy your NFT.

The interface of the Rarible marketplace is user-friendly and can be easily navigated even by people who know nothing about NFT and those visiting the site for the first time.

It is a marketplace that makes all kind of assets available for trading and allows sellers to make more than one artwork NFT and sell it multiple times.

Rarible charges the same commission of 2.5% on each transaction just like OpenSea and gives you a royalty of up to 5 – 10%.

Its gas fee is also based on the demand and supply of the token.

Foundation

The Foundation Marketplace is renowned for the sale of the infamous Aplex Twin and Nyan Cat NFT on its platform.

This invite-only marketplace also uses Ethereum and charges a 5% commission on every transaction.

SuperRare

SuperRare is another marketplace with a user-friendly easy-to-navigate interface.

It also allows the use of Ethereum for transacting NFTs and also recently created its own token called “SuperRare” on the Ethereum blockchain. SuperRare charges a 2.5% commission on every transaction and gives you a royalty of 10% with a 15% commission charged on your first sale.

Mintable

Mintable is another great marketplace that makes diverse NFTs including music and photographs available for purchase and sale.

The Mintable marketplace which is supported by Billionaire Shark Mark Cuban uses Ethereum for its transactions.

Different commissions are charged on this platform based on what is being traded:

Everyday Items — 2.5%

Gasless Items — 5%

Printable Series — 10%

Note that before trading on an NFT marketplace, you need to:

  • First of all find out which particular cryptocurrencies are allowed on the marketplace.
  • Get a cryptocurrency wallet that supports the transactions of that particular cryptocurrency that the NFT you want to buy or sell is based on.
  • Open a user account with the marketplace of your choice before buying or selling NFTs.

How Much Can I Buy an NFT?

There is no specific amount that you can use to purchase an NFT. The cost of an NFT is determined by the price tag placed on it by the artist or the reseller, and the gas fees involved — as the transactions are oftentimes done using Ethereum.

How Much Can I Sell My NFT?

How to sell an NFT

There are no specific price at which you can see your NFT. You can sell your NFT for tens or even millions of dollars.

However, the price at which you can sell your NFT depends on different factors.

Here are some of them:

Security:

Buyers always want to be sure that the cryptocurrency with which the token is underlaid is secured.

Now, NFTs underlaid with Ethereum are most priced as it is presently considered the safest blockchain platform.

Scarcity:

The saying that “the increased scarcity of an item equals its increase in value” is one that perfectly applies to the price of NFTs. Making your NFTs rare and uncommon in the marketplaces will increase their value.

Making your NFTs rare will lead to their high demand, and their high demand means that they will likely increase in value over time.

However, this doesn’t mean that all NFTs will increase in value over time — only those that prove themselves to be authentic and those that also have strong demand among buyers and resellers alike.

Identity:

The identity and track record of the person who is selling an NFT can play a huge role in the value placed on it. More value is placed on tokens owned by renowned creators, as compared to others.

Age:

NFTs created before 2020 are considered new and tend to have a higher value than the ones created before then.

Fluctuations:

The unstable movement in the value of a cryptocurrency which is primary to an NFT token could also influence its price.

For now, Ethereum is the top blockchain used in the NFT market. So, if for example, Ethereum’s price goes up, the price for all Ethereum-based NFTs will probably also go up.

Features and Recognition:

Features and recognition are other factors that play a key role in the price of tokens.

NFTs that feature or recognize celebrities tend to have more value than ones that have less-popular individuals featured on them or ones that don’t have any Features or recognition.

Is It Hard To Sell An NFT Art?

Yes, it is hard to sell an NFT art. But not to worry, there are certain things that can make it easier for you. Let’s take a look at them:

Building An Audience or A Community:

Building and maintaining a community or an audience isn’t a walk in the park but it is a great way of showcasing and hopefully selling your NFT.

However, while building your audience or community, make sure it contains your target audience as it will also further increase your tendency of making sales.

Furthermore, while building a community or an audience, make sure your art is not plagiarized, as this could lead to loss of trust and lower patronage.

Giving them proper utilities and discounts can also play a big role in gaining their trust.

If you can’t build your audience or community, attending physical NFT events and joining already-built communities on social media platforms such as Twitter can also play a key role in helping you make sales.

Using A Marketplace Or Website You Can Use To Sell Your Nft:

An NFT Marketplace is a great way of connecting with potential buyers, as they frequently browse through the marketplace searching for arts or tokens to purchase. This gives your token a good chance of being selected by one of the buyers.

Using your website to sell your NFT is another great way as it also allows you to get a wide reach and also keep a higher percentage for each sale as opposed to using an NFT marketplace.

Though selling NFT on your website guarantees you a larger percentage of the sales, experts have warned that sticking to using a traditional NFT marketplace for business is better and more secure.

Can You Lose Money In NFT?

Yes, you can lose money in NFT.

However, if you must avoid losing money in NFT, here are a few things you must know:

  • You must first of all gain adequate knowledge of what NFT is and how it works before purchasing one. You must also gain knowledge of how its market works.
  • You must endeavour to do enough research on an NFT before purchasing it. This because buying an NFT that won’t appreciate in value but rather depreciate can make you lose money in the long run.
  • You could also lose money in NFT if its underlying cryptocurrency drops in value or its underlying creator or company lose its popularity.
  • In addition, you could lose money if the general NFT market experiences a dip in financial flow.
  • Another way of losing money in NFT is to purchase an NFT that does not have a digital asset attached to it.
  • Buying NFTs without utility is one of the ways in which you could lose money because it could later become difficult to sell or would later be sold at a lesser rate.
  • You should also be wary of the artists or creators you purchase NFTs from, as some of them are scammers who will dupe you of your money.
  • Also, if you want to invest in NFT, you should invest the amount of money you do not mind losing.

Why You Should Understand Searchers’ Intent

Are there times when you wonder why your contents do not rank for certain keywords? You may have been racking your brain on how to gain better visibility on Google. Well, what if you just did not understand searchers intent?

You may have heard the term ‘search intent’, but not sure what it means. Do not bother yourself much, as this article is here to help you understand your users’ search intent, and how it can affect your content strategy.

What is Search Intent?

An illustration with the text, "search intent"

Supposing you were searching for a term on a search engine, wouldn’t you have a reason for searching? That’s how search intent works. When a person conducts a search online, they have a main purpose in mind. For example, they might be thinking about buying a new laptop and they’re researching different kinds of laptops.

In my own definition, which may be a general definition, search intent is the main purpose, or reason behind every search. Someone just searching to see different hairstyles, may be searching with the purpose of finding a new hairstyle. Same with someone searching for recipes; he or she may be searching with the intent of finding the recipe for velvet cakes.

Today, SEOs focus on search intent because Google’s changing algorithms makes it clear that content relevance gets more important by each day. Basically, Google will rank pages that best answer a searcher’s query.

Look at this instance: if someone searches ‘nail salon in California’, a list of local stores may show up, after which some search results will come. Google understands that the searcher is looking for a local store to get his or her nails done. So, local stores come up first. If that searcher refines their search to a more specific location, an even more specific set of stores would show up. This is because Google understands search intent.

It knows that the searcher wants to get their nails done, and it not only brings up a set of local stores, but also generates alternative terms for them.

In short, the search engine understands their search intent, and offers them suggestions to meet their needs.

How to Know and Understand Searchers’ Intent

Just like Google, when you create content, you need to do the same: understand what your searcher wants through the keywords and terms they use, to develop content.

Search intent is quite different from keywords. When you perform keyword research, you want to know what keywords you want your site to rank for. But when you try to know your searcher’s intent, you try to answer users’ query, and this would in turn, help your site rank.

Below are are few steps to knowing your searcher’s intent;

Knowing your ideal customer:

There is nothing as effective as knowing who your customers are. This is why researches are carried out by marketers, to know and understand what their customers like. When you know your customers, you can create a good consumer persona.

Here’s how to do this;

  • Like I said earlier, research. This could be going on the social media platforms you can find your customers, getting to know their interests, etc
  • Understand the needs of your existing customers, what they like about your products or services, and what they’d like you to improve on
  • Take note of the information you gather
  • Create a user persona with all that information

That’s how you get to know your customers. Understanding customers and their needs is the first step to knowing their intent for searching for something.

Topic research:

While you make your customer research, you will come across topics that your customers talk about. These may not exactly be about your services or products, but may be related. These topics will then link them to your products.

It is wise to do more research on those topics, because it is those topics that will convert your product pages. And this is not just about your products, this is about what interests your customers.

When they find interesting, satisfying and helpful topics on your site, they do not hesitate to come back.

So, topic research helps you understand what your searcher talks about, what interests him/her. This helps you understand why they search for stuff.

Competitive research:

User persona and topic research sound just okay, but they are not all you can do.

Performing competitive research will help you understand how your competitors in your industry are serving users. It will help you find out other topics of interest you may not know, that your searchers talk about. You may also find out some areas of faulting that you can take advantage of!

No, this is in no way criminal or spying. In fact, as you read this, a competitor may be running research on your site!

Occasional competitive research will do you more good than you’d expect. It will also help you stay updated on industry trends. What’s more, you know how you can improve your understanding of searcher’s intent.

Keyword research:

It is only imperative that after a series of research, you finalize your efforts with another research; keyword research.

When you understand your user persona, you understand the kind of keywords they use often. A wise thing to do, is run a research for keywords that will rank for their query.

Topic research gives you topics, whose keywords you must research and refine.

With competitive research, you can see keywords that your competitors rank for. This is not to say you must use those same keywords. Competitors keywords should only give you ideas on what kind of keywords your users search for. So, more research.

Keyword research is as important as search intent itself. This is because while the search intent is the purpose, the keywords are the tools that brings answers to user queries.

Note that not all keywords may rank. But targeting low volume keywords with medium to low SEO difficulty may be better.

Types of Search Intent

The different types of search intent

There are four types of search intent I’d like you to know: navigational, informational, commercial, and transactional.

Let’s take a look at these;

Navigational Intent

This is the type of search intent that involves something a searcher already knows, or something specific about a brand or website that the searcher has been associated with, before.

You may have had the intent of logging in to your dashboard owned by a brand, and you may use something like “Facebook login” to search for that website on the search engine. Or even something like “Hearty cakes photos”, because you have come across a local store called Hearty Cakes before, and want to go back to view photos of cakes there. That is you using a navigational search intent to conduct a search.

For navigational search intent, navigational keywords should be used. Navigational keywords usually look like this: “brand name + name of products or services” or “brand name + action you want to take”

Informational Intent

This intent is used when people are seeking information on your website. The intent behind the search, is information. Could be on a certain topic, trend, recipe, etc.

The thing about this intent is that users  might not have prior knowledge of what they’re looking for, but they may use keywords to guide their search. Take for example, you type something like “how to use chop sticks”. Maybe before you thought of conducting that search, you had no idea how to use two sticks to eat noodles.

People usually begin their search journey with informational intent. They want to know about what it is that they want to indulge in. For example, someone may be thinking of switching careers, or trying to buy something.

For informational intent, informational keywords should be used. Informational keywords look like this: “how to use charcoal mask”, “what is Microsoft HoloLens”, “who is the owner of Google”, “ideas for small weddings”, etc. These keywords usually begin with “how”, “what”, “who”, “where”, etc.

Knowing how to target this type of search intent helps improve your website’s ranking and bring in more traffic. To do that, you have to;

  • Make your website well organized and easy to navigate, so that people who search for information will find it quickly
  • Use keywords that are relevant to your topic
  • Give answers to the questions people commonly ask. You can use “people also ask” on Google for this
  • Provide valuable content that answers those questions, and meet the needs of your audience

Informational searchers look for accurate and reliable information. You want to make sure you give them what they’re looking for.

Commercial Intent

Commercial intent is quite synonymous to informational intent. This is because a searcher with commercial intent is looking for more information; to learn more about something they may or not purchase. The searcher already has basic information on the product or service he or she is looking for, but wants to know more, so that he or she can make informed purchasing decision.

You can determine this intent by the keywords searchers use. Commercial keywords look like this: “best Lexus model to buy”, “top in-demand skills to acquire”, “pricing of chandeliers”, “reviews for Microsoft HoloLens”, etc. Commercial keywords usually begin with “best”, “top”, “review”, etc.

Transactional Intent

This intent is used when a searcher is  actively looking to buy a product, or hire a service. This is usually the end of a searcher’s journey.

Here, searchers may have already gotten information on what they want to purchase, gone through the commercial stage, and are now in the buying stage.

It is here that they use transactional keywords such as; “order pepperoni pizza”, “buy Nike air max”, “cheap cargo pants near me”, etc.

Note that users may use different intents in one keyword. An example is this: “where to buy the best Google SEO course”. Look at that keyword; long tail keyword beginning with informational, then transactional, then commercial, and finally, navigational keyword. It is for this reason that you should try to answer users’ queries.

Why Search Intent is Important For SEO

Why search intent is important for SEO

We all know that Google is all about user experience. Giving users all they seek for in your website, should come first before search engines. This is why search intent is important for your site’s SEO.

In the early days of SEO, online visibility was all about keywords. This made site owners would overuse keywords to try and manipulate the search engines in their favour (keyword stuffing). This is turn, led to low quality content all over the SERPs, which gave too little value to readers.

Then search intent became a fundamental part of SEO. Meaning that it became important to understand searchers’ intent. What are people looking for when they type a query into a search engine? For what purpose do searchers come to my website? An answer to those questions will help you better optimize your content and website to match their needs.

The appropriate use of keywords to answer to customers’ needs is the beginning of good user experience, and ranking, in the long run. When you integrate search intent into your content, you can achieve that.

Optimizing Content For Search Intent

Optimizing content for search intent

After understanding your users’ search intent, it is only wise that you optimize the content on your site to match their needs.

Below, are some ways you can do that;

Use a tool

There are various tools that SEOs and other marketers use to optimize their content. It is not enough to just use a tool, be sure that it is for your users’ search intent. For example, cognitiveSEO has a tool that lets you write keyword optimized content around informational searches.

On-page Optimization

To further optimize your site for users’ intent, you could include a relevant keyword to your title tags and meta descriptions, format your text properly and use images and videos that help illustrate your points. Make sure to optimize heading tags, too. On-page optimization is also important when optimizing for search intent.

CTAs

You should consider checking the calls to action on your site. Try making them stand out a little; users like to be told what to do. Do not just ask them to perform actions, make sure your content is impressive enough to push them to answer to your CTA.

You could also use other elements (like comments sections) to encourage visitors to interact with your content.

Structured Data

One other way to optimize for searchers’ intent is by using structured data markup. This will help search engines to understand and interpret your content, to help them better understand the purpose of your page. Structured data markup can also help your content rank higher in search results.

For transactional intent, you need a good landing page with a simple CTA.

Conclusion

Understanding searchers’ intent helps provide good user experience. Search is consistently evolving, and consumers’ demands are constantly changing. This is why you should understand their intents; they want content that answers their questions, while also addressing their needs.

Always consider what your users are looking for. Then tailor your content to match. With that, you can create solutions to their questions.

It is quite understandable that you want your site to rank high for keywords, but high ranking is only a by-product of good user experience. Understand that Google is all about users. When you deliver the kind of content that meets searchers’ needs, you’re more likely to rank higher on Google and win customers’ trust. It is only when you give value to users, that you will be able to convert them to customers or buyers.

I hope that you begin to use search intent to optimize your contents. If you use search intent, you may tell me in the comments, how it has helped you.

That will be all for now, readers. Thank you!

How to Create Quality Content in 2022

The most crucial element of a website is its content. Content engages users and retains them on your page so they may keep pursuing your product line or reading about your business. In this post, you will find out how to create quality content for your website. Keep reading!

When the home page contains an excessive number of unhelpful features that divert users from their intended path, things can go wrong in a big way.

How to Create Quality Content

An image of doodles, with content written boldly on it

Create quality content

Creating quality content is also a way of optimizing the on-page factors of your site. Not only does Google rank sites with quality contents high, quality content also brings about conversions. So in essence, when you create great content, you are also indirectly optimizing other factors of your website.

Here are some useful tips on creating content for your website if you don’t know where to begin;

Be concise and pick your words carefully

To grab the attention of your audience and hold their interest long enough for them to stick around and learn more about what you have to offer, keep all of your content pertinent and use just the appropriate phrases in the appropriate context. In order to avoid misleading readers who are looking for precise information, make every word count and stay away from generalisations. The titles of product pages, story headlines, and other similar language should all reflect this, in particular.

You may come up with interesting methods to showcase this information through targeted headlines, tags, meta descriptions, etc. by thinking about how someone might search for something associated with what you’re trying to offer.

Use numbers and lists

It is simpler for readers to understand and navigate to another page if they are interested in learning more about what you have to offer when critical information is clearly separated, such as pricing, product names, and other relevant data, in a numbered or bulleted format.

Maintain a casual tone and write as though you were interacting with your target consumers personally

Instead of describing features, use phrases that describe benefits. Benefits are explanations for why someone should purchase from you rather than go elsewhere where they can do it for less money. Although features are essential components of your goods or services, not everyone will find them useful in every situation. For instance, instead of saying “We produce our own computer cases in the UK, and they come with a lifetime warranty,” say “Our hand-crafted computer cases are 100% made by UK workers and inspected before they’re shipped.

Avoid using industry jargons

This is because some people may not understand what they are. Stick to vocabulary that can successfully explain your idea without using any words that can be unclear or deceptive because it’s preferable not to presume that everyone has an exact definition of each word.

Assume that everyone reading the content on your website is completely unfamiliar with your company and its sector. Use as little acronyms and jargons as you can to keep everything as straightforward as possible.

It’s ideal to avoid using jargons because it tends to make things harder to grasp, especially for individuals who aren’t very familiar with what you do or the goods or services you provide.

When writing lengthy text or informational blocks, use lists

Lists tend to divide information apart and make it easier to scan, which makes it easier for visitors to locate what they’re looking for quickly and encourages them to click on links to find out more about particular goods or services you provide.

Use concise language to make material easy to understand.

Long paragraphs are intimidating; shorter paragraphs are considerably easier on the eyes, especially when there is a lot of content on a single page.

Credit those who deserve it

When appropriate, link to other comparable websites; but, avoid doing so just to obtain links that point back to your website.

Use clear text formatting to make it easier To Read

By structuring information in a balanced and straightforward way, it helps readers quickly browse through blocks of content.

Provide a method of communication and contact information

Let them know who you are and how they may reach you, but exercise caution because many individuals are reluctant to share their personal information, such as phone numbers or email addresses, without first verifying the recipient. This is why it is important to build trust with your audience. People will only willingly give out their details to those they trust to provide them with what they need.

Conclusion

It is the end product of a content that justifies the content. Like they say, the end justifies the means. Say for instance, your content was aimed at getting your users’ emails, you will have to make content that will appeal to them in that sense. And if you made content to share your experience after trying a new recipe, you’d have to list out a step by step process, following the recipe. It all comes down to what we want from our content, and how to give our readers what they want from our content.

Creating quality content may not be as easy as it sounds, but it is possible. Give users the answers they seek, and they will keep coming back.

So, that is it for how to create quality content. Comments? You know how it goes!

Some Uses of Microsoft Hololens Today

The Microsoft HoloLens is a wireless, holographic computer that runs entirely on its own. Users can view what is referred to as “mixed reality” thanks to it. As a result, users of Microsoft HoloLens are able to interact with digital content, in the actual world using speech and movements. What is Microsoft Hololens? What is it used for? You can get an easy definition and fascinating uses of Microsoft Hololens in this article!

What Oculus is to Meta, once known as Facebook, Hololens is to Microsoft. However, Oculus is more focused on entertainment and the social metaverse, the Microsoft Hololens is aimed at corporations and organizations.

The Microsoft HoloLens has practically limitless potential and has potential applications in every industry. This variety makes the Microsoft HoloLens particularly intriguing for businesses and persuades programmers and business clients to use its cutting-edge technology.

Models for Microsoft Hololens

An image of the Microsoft Hololens 2

Microsoft Hololens 2

The world’s first wireless, standalone holographic computer based on the mixed reality platform, Microsoft HoloLens, was introduced in January 2015. High-resolution 3D holograms can be seen in the real world without the need for additional hardware thanks to the robust hardware. Through the use of speech, sight, and gesture control, HoloLens enables interaction with holographic objects. Holograms, for instance, can be entirely freely moved, positioned, or changed in size in real space using particular hand motions.

At MWC Barcelona in February 2019, the second generation made its debut. Microsoft HoloLens 2 provides a field of view that is more than twice as large as the previous model. It has noticeably enhanced wearing comfort due to an optimized center of gravity, and more natural interaction with holograms. For instance, finger tracking allows for much more accurate input regarding each individual finger’s movement.

How Do Holograms Work?

An image of a lady in a hologram

What is a hologram?

Holograms are simply light-based images that provide the impression of floating three-dimensionally in space. The use of laser beams to project images into empty space is certainly known to anyone who has attended an event involving light projections. Similar technology is used by Microsoft HoloLens, but with the pictures initially visible only to the wearer due to the projection glass on the device.

How Does Microsoft Hololens Operate?

An image of a lady wearing a Microsoft Hololens

How does the Microsoft Hololens work?

Microsoft HoloLens uses artificial intelligence. Microsoft HoloLens 2 combines several sensors and specialized tracking systems, as well as the AI capabilities of Azure, to enable intuitive interactions in mixed reality. For instance, a specialized hand tracking device can operate precisely by measuring the unique shape of the hands.

The individual distance between each wearer’s pupil centers, which affects how they see close-up and far-away objects, can be measured using eye tracking. Personalized 3D models are then adjusted to the user’s hands and eyes using an AI algorithm, allowing for exact interaction with holograms.

Because they mimic the natural perception and activity of the human brain, the corresponding AI technologies, known as Perception AI, run on HoloLens 2. The HPU 2.0, a holographic processing unit created specifically for the HoloLens 2, is the foundation of Perception AI, which operates locally on each device to reduce latency (reaction times).

What constitutes a “smart edge” device?

The HoloLens 2 is regarded as a leading product in the intelligent edge space. This is a reference to technology that can analyze data where it is created and gather it even when there is no stable internet connection. However, when it is connected, you can share some or all of the data with the intelligent cloud. The holographic technology, which is based on artificial intelligence and cloud computing, enables spontaneous communication and information sharing over time and space.

What HoloLens apps are available?

  • Remote assistance for Dynamics 365.
  • 365 Dynamics Guides
  • Remote Rendering in Azure
  • Spatial Anchors in Azure

Dynamics 365 Remote Assist is one of the most well-liked programs. Holograms can now be used to transmit exact instructions across multiple sites thanks to the solution. For instance, technicians can now more simply perform maintenance and explain repairs remotely.

When and where they need them, users of Dynamics 365 Guides for HoloLens can engage in practice-oriented learning based on holographic instructions. The location of the task is physically connected to the instruction cards. They might include 3D holographic models, films, and photographs. Users can do tasks more quickly and with fewer mistakes by seeing what has to be done where.

High-quality 3D content and interactive surfaces are now available for mixed reality devices like the HoloLens thanks to Azure Remote Rendering. Even the most complex models may be rendered in the cloud and transmitted in real time to devices using Azure’s computing capacity.

Designers or engineers, for instance, can carefully interface with 3D content.

Azure Spatial Anchors is a different tool that customers use to develop mixed reality apps with spatial reference. Holographic maintenance instructions, for instance, might be placed next to machines on a production line by industrial customers in a factory and made visible to particular workers.

There are currently more apps being created.

The Azure Kinect Developer Kit

Azure Kinect Developer Kit: What is its use?

The Azure Kinect Developer Kit (DK) is a tool and development kit that includes cutting-edge AI sensors for a range of models in the areas of speech recognition and machine vision. It includes a position sensor, a video camera, a depth sensor, and a spatial microphone arrangement all in one compact device. Modern image processing and speech solutions based on Microsoft Azure can be constructed using the time-of-flight depth sensor, a high-resolution RGB camera, with seven microphones positioned in a circle. This makes it possible for programs to comprehend the world as well as recognize it. For instance, local people, places, and things.

Some Uses of Microsoft Hololens

In essence, businesses are the target market for Microsoft HoloLens. The cutting-edge technology enables new digital business operations in every sector, from employee education and training to the appealing product presentation used in sales to providing visual aids to surgeons. Here are four thrilling instances:

Transfer of knowledge:

Based on REFLEKT ONE, Bosch’s Collaborative Training 4.0 is an end-to-end solution that uses mixed reality technology. Holographic step-by-step instructions are provided in the interactive training to help workshop trainees grasp new goods and technology and to aid service workers work more quickly and accurately when doing repairs and maintenance.

Health:

Using apoQlar GmbH’s Virtual Surgery Intelligence (VSI) software, two-dimensional, black-and-white X-ray images are transformed into lifelike, three-dimensional objects. apoQlar GmbH is a mixed reality partner of Microsoft. This enables doctors to better prepare for a surgery and better communicate with patients about the procedure prior to an operation.

Remote maintenance:

Mercedes-Benz USA provides the Microsoft HoloLens 2 to its affiliated service technicians and approved American dealers to increase the effectiveness of inspections. You may also remotely manage Mercedes automobiles and provide exact real-time repair instructions with the help of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Remote Assist tool.

Designing a space:

This can be done holographically with the help of Island Labs’ rooms application, a Berlin-based startup. For instance, the planning and sales of kitchens are conducted using this system by the German business küchenquelle GmbH.

WordPress or Webflow: Who Wins?

So, there’s this competition going on around the web, web developers, webmasters, and even SEOs, which begs the question; WordPress or Webflow? Who wins? SEO wise, design wise, code wise, functionality, and cost effectiveness, who wins? Well, in this article, we are going to point some things out – not crown a winner, or declare some position. This is so that you make the choice for yourself; who your winner is. Shall we?

Webflow

The webflow logo

The webflow logo

Let us begin by acknowledging that Webflow is a lot newer to the game than WordPress. I mean, we all know that, right? Webflow was launched in August 5th of 2013, by Vlad Magdalin, Sergie Magdalin, and Bryant Chou.

Webflow is a visual content management system (CMS) that appeals to web designers who want to create and customize websites and have hosting, security, and website performance all taken care of. Unlike WordPress whose software you need to install on your own hosting server, Webflow is a SaaS application that can handle everything for you. From hosting to security, all will be handled in one packaged platform by Webflow. This is why its popularity is attributed to its convenience.

Like its competitors, Webflow offers pre-built website templates that can be purchased for some token. But if one does not want to use a template, they can start from scratch. Its built-in drag and drop builder is simple enough to learn and is targeted towards web designers who want little to no code tool. However, anybody can use Webflow to create a website.

The main difference between Webflow and other SaaS website builders, is that Webflow gives you access to all of your site’s underlying code.

For dynamic sites, Webflow also includes its own content management system that you can use to create a blog, e-commerce store, and more.

After creating a website with Webflow, you can either export the code of your finished site and host it on any hosting provider (if it is a static site). Or, pay Webflow to host the site for you, which is a requirement if you want to use Webflow’s CMS for dynamic content.

Visit webflow.com to build a website with them.

WordPress

The WordPress logo

The WordPress logo

WordPress is a free popular open-source content management system. It is the most popular way to build a website, powering about 42.8% of all the websites on the internet, as at October 2021. And like you read earlier, WordPress was in the game, 10 years before Webflow (launched May 27, 2003). So, you can understand this domination.

About anybody can download the free WordPress software from wordpress.org and install it on their own web hosting to create a website.

WordPress originally began as a blogging system, but has grown into a full-service CMS that can handle any type of site, from business websites to portfolios, ecommerce stores, and more.

WordPress’ features include a plugin architecture and a template system, referred to by WordPress, as Themes.

The plugins can be used to add new features to a site, while the themes control the design of a site. WordPress is reliant on these features. Almost all WordPress websites have plugins, and use the WordPress themes. WordPress can be particularly tricky to get your head around at first, due to these external features.

This brings about a significant difference between WordPress and Webflow. The core WordPress software is a foundation that you can customize by adding plugins, whereas Webflow is an already finished SaaS application where everything is built into the tool.

Most modern WordPress themes come with a default drag-and-drop page builder as part of the package, though they are not built in.

WordPress or Webflow: The Comparisons

Design and code

We can see from the above subheadings, how design of a website is carried out on each platform. Whilst one needs plugins and themes for WordPress, Webflow already has everything in stock.

One has to familiarize himself with WordPress’ features, to be able to efficiently design, while for Webflow he just designs on the platform. Although for both, one has to be familiar with the least codes, and some CMS features.

WordPress actually beats Webflow in terms of the amount of pre-built themes one can download, both free and paid. With thousands of WordPress themes available to choose from, a person is likely to find one that won’t need much customizing – no matter the skill-level or industry.

Overall, no much knowledge of coding are required to build a website on either platforms.

 Functionality and SEO

At a high level, both WordPress and Webflow can do everything that most site owners need. However, Webflow does not have much room for integration of third-party software, as WordPress does.

Some integrations are easy enough to execute, but one may need to do some coding for most, which, if you’re unfamiliar with code, can be quite tricky.

Webflow also lacks in functionality in the absence of blog posts. There are limited options to boost your content’s SEO, which is not good for a site expecting traffic from content. There also is no post comment function, which takes away chance for engagement. This is quite the opposite for WordPress, as there is the Gutenberg editor for content on WordPress, and presence of a comment section. The Yoast SEO plugin also helps a content’s SEO.

 Cost

For someone who is looking to build his own website, cost is always considered.

In this case, WordPress has an upper hand, as it is free to use. The only thing to be paid for, is your hosting and domain name, which, depending on your provider, can be as little as £2.43 a month.

Anything more than just a basic website on Webflow costs about £13 or beyond, per month. This covers the website hosting and gives you the ability to add your own custom domain. There are a few pricing plans one can choose from. The more expensive plan one chooses, the more features they get.

However, you may also need to purchase a theme, if you are not a web designer, despite the platform you choose. This is why it is recommended for non web designers to hire web development agencies when they want a decent, truly bespoke website.

Apart from the purchase of themes or templates, you now know which has the cheaper offer.

Conclusion

An image showing two people asking questions

WordPress or Webflow, who do you choose?

WordPress or Webflow, who do you choose? Yes, you can create great websites on either platform. What really matters is what you prefer in a platform.

Webflow is easier to use, compared to WordPress. The platform is neatly packaged, so one gets to design there, and be sure of hosting and security too.

WordPress has its own benefits; we cannot deny that they mostly out beat Webflow. The third-party integrations, features, cost effectiveness, and functionality!

There is a reason why WordPress remains the most popular website builder to date. I think that owes to functionality. For individuals and businesses looking to make a website, WordPress is probably the better choice, given its flexibility and integration with more tools. It is also quite cheaper. It does not require much learning if you’re not already familiar with the basics of HTML and CSS.

Web designers may prefer Webflow, because many of its features are targeted towards helping them build websites faster. Nevertheless, whichever platform it is that you choose, we will be glad to assist. It is, after all, expertise that simplifies complexity.

Finally, you should know that you don’t always have to choose between WordPress or Webflow. The official Webflow Pages plugin for WordPress makes it possible for you to build pages for your WordPress site using Webflow.

That is all there is to it! Know more about this growing competition? Tell us in the comments! Questions? I’d be happy to answer! And if you are not satisfied with this article, you can go on to make more research.

Thanks for reading.

How to Create and Develop a Brand Identity

In recent times as ours, it has become essential to develop a brand identity for one’s business, to stand out and set itself apart from rivals, as millions of firms attempt to establish themselves globally.

Even though “Brand” and “Logo” are two quite different concepts, they are frequently used synonymously.

Although a logo may be seen as the representation of a company, a brand is much more than just a logo.

Actually, developing a logo is just one of many items on the checklist for developing a distinctive brand identity.

What is a brand?

Simply said, a brand is how the general public feels about a specific company, service, or good. “Your brand is what other people say about you when you’re not in the room”, Jeff Bezos, Founder of Amazon.

What is branding?

The goal of branding is to increase the general public’s opinion of a certain company, service, or product as being distinctive. This is why brand owners develop a brand identity. But just developing any brand identity is not enough; to keep a brand running smoothly, one must indeed develop a distinct brand identity.

What is a brand?

What is a Logo?

A logo is a visual representation that can include text, pictures, and/or artwork. It aids in giving your company a visual edge over competing brands.

Your company’s logo should be viewed as its “face,” appearing on items like letterhead, business cards, promotional banners, event backdrops, websites, app stores, social network profiles, invoices, payment forms, and mementos.

How to Differentiate Your Brand

You must follow the following recommendations if you want to build a successful and remembered brand.

An image showing different brand strategies

Some strategies for differentiating your brand from others

Understand your rivals

Knowing your rivals is an essential first step in differentiating yourself and creating a competitive edge. You would need to conduct some market research, though, in order to achieve this. For instance, reviewing customer feedback from your rivals’ consumers can point up certain chances that could help you reposition your brand, make yourself stand out, and eventually win over some of their customers.

Simple is best

Make a logo, but keep it straightforward and memorable.

Keep your logo uncomplicated and clean to make your point without going overboard with intricate styles. You can hire a designer to create a logo for you, if you cannot.

If you already have a logo, you may want to review it again yourself or you may want to post it in the comment box below and let us review it for you.

Be consistent in your communications

Maintaining a consistent design language throughout all of your communication platforms will only benefit your brand. It would show to the public how much consistency you put to develop a brand identity. It would elevate your brand and provide you some “easy” trust by making your brand appear less muddled to potential customers. Hire a pro to create your logo if you want to accomplish this. Following the advice in your Brand Guide book, stick to a color scheme and make sure to abide by other rules regarding typography and graphics.

You may have observed that at this point, it goes beyond merely your logo and extends to the manner in which you interact with your target market (colours, voice, typography etc.).

Purchase some branded items

For a reason, branded items are often known as brand collateral.

Never undervalue the power of branded items to promote your company and magnify your voice in the most unlikely of locations.

Make sure the colors complement your brand because it doesn’t cost much to have your logo printed on a t-shirt (or follows your brand guidelines). I assure you that it would be worth every penny.

Be your own brand’s spokesperson

Being your own brand ambassador is the best approach to stand out and establish a strong connection with your audience.

Your brand is you. Own it, consume it, wear it, utilize it, and display it. If you have employees, you should encourage them to use your products as often as possible, but you shouldn’t compel them.

Start by supporting your company and demonstrating to the world your confidence in your brand. This stirs feelings and gradually increases the credibility of your brand.

Clever marketing strategies

Indirect marketing is another name for subtle marketing. Your audience becomes accustomed to subtle marketing. Because it is passive, your audience gradually assimilates your message.

Marketing that is subtle is decent, exciting, and not bad.

Subtle marketing examples are;

  • Content promotion
  • Optimization for search engines
  • Involvement in social initiatives
  • Gifts made to NGOs
  • PR on social media

Your brand will have a greater impact if you use subtle persuasion in your marketing campaigns. Comparatively speaking, it is more successful than the typical aggressive and direct marketing approach.

Finally, aggressive marketing tactics like email blasting, spamming, intrusive and annoying WhatsApp broadcasts, etc., should never be employed as your primary marketing approach if your aim is to earn trust and eventually make your brand stand out. Empty promises, bulk email purchases, the use of megaphones in off-limits locations, loud music, and other illegal marketing strategies shouldn’t even be considered.

Should You Give Up On Your SEO Efforts?

Justified, SEO can sometimes seem like an impossible task. Or even more accurate, a herculean task that yields little to no results. And that can be a bit frustrating. Well, we are about to find if our SEO efforts are really worth the stress, or not. Shall we begin?

1) What is SEO and Why Does Anyone Care?

The term SEO (search engine optimization) refers to a broad variety of actions that can be made to improve a website’s ranking on search engines. If you own a recruiting agency in London, for instance, you would often hire an SEO business in London to handle all of this for you.

The following are some of the actions made by London-based SEO service providers:

What is SEO and Why Does Anyone Care?

– Off-page (off-site) SEO

  1. Quality work that has been uploaded as guest on other websites
  2. Social media, such as Facebook, LinkedIn,
  3. YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram
  4. Backlinks, which are references to your URL from reputable websites or authoritative blogs.

– On-Page SEO

  1. Put relevant keywords on your website.
  2. Internal linking: Referring to page links frequently in your content
  3. Producing high-quality, audience-specific content that is user-friendly
  4. Add meta descriptions and title tags to titles and descriptions.

– Technical SEO

  1. Image optimization: Scale down images to speed up your website.
  2. SSL Security: Verify the validity of your certificates
  3. To aid search engines in evaluating your website, add XML and HTML sitemap files to your sitemaps.
  4. Your website is responsive to the device it is being viewed on.

– Local SEO

  1. Local directories – Include pertinent local listings for your businesses.
  2. Ensure that all information is submitted to your “Google My Business” account.
  3. Local keywords: conduct local keyword research and add additional keywords as necessary.
  4. Social media: Engage with regional establishments, occasions, and organizations there
  5. Local Reviews: Interact with your clients and respond to their feedback

2) SEO Complications

Complications of SEO

Now that you are aware of all that SEO entails, it must seem complicated. And certainly, it may be a lot of work, which is why businesses eager to pay SEO companies in London to handle everything for them have kept them quite busy. However, what if you could do away with all of your need for London SEO services? Then, you wouldn’t have to employ SEO agencies in London to complete the task!

Let’s examine several SEO disadvantages and issues that certain SEO businesses might not be as fast to mention to you:

– SEO is not a quick fix

Working on SEO takes time. Any SEO effort made, is a long-term strategy, in contrast to paid advertisements (Google Ads, sponsored ads, etc.). We’re talking months for a medium-sized business, possibly six months or longer if you’re in a highly competitive sector.

– No quick cuts exist

There are a lot of man-hours that need to be put into SEO, and whether you decide to do the job yourself or hire SEO companies in London to do it for you, the fact that someone will have to put the effort in cannot be avoided. Yes, your SEO efforts are as important as the results. There might be some research required as well, and you’ll probably need to consider keywords, contact partners, and spend time managing your social media.

– Quality Content is King

For the sake of your site’s SEO, you’ll need to produce a ton of high-quality content that will engage your audience and improve your website’s standing with the search engines. Again, you might be able to do part of this on your own, but you might also want the assistance of SEO businesses in London to create videos, translate information into other languages, etc.

– Is your website able to handle the extra traffic?

More visitors may be expected if your SEO efforts are successful, but are you prepared for them? Make sure your servers can handle the load and that you have customer care representatives available to handle the influx of inquiries.

– Greater Brand Awareness

Increased brand recognition must be positive, right? More customers will become aware of you and what you do as a result of your improved exposure. Many companies experience organic growth over time, which allows them the luxury of developing and refining their basic values and goals. Have you put enough effort into developing your brand identity beforehand? Take the time before you hit the “big time” to clearly define who you are, what you do, and why you do it because you really don’t want to have to change your origin story at a later time if you can avoid it. Rebranding is actually quite difficult, so you really don’t want to do it unless you absolutely have to.

3) Conclusions (not illusions, nor delusions)

confused

Here are a few of the reasons why SEO isn’t always cheap and/or simple. Having said all of that, SEO does unquestionably work in 2022, which means that SEO is worth the stress. With a little research and time spent discussing the aforementioned issues with a professional SEO Service provider in Nigeria, you can expect SEO to deliver the results you’re after – as long as you’re willing to wait a little while! Yes, you have to be quite patient.

One last word of caution: be careful when contacting SEO companies in Nigeria. Some of them may make lofty promises, confuse you with technical jargon, and pressure you into buying SEO packages that are inappropriate or even ineffective for your particular business. In order to create a strategy that can be analyzed and modified over time, you should always strive to speak with an SEO provider who is transparent and honest about what you can expect with regard to SEO. There are no second chances with SEO if you blow your marketing budget in one go, so set a budget up front and stick to it. You can always spend more once the results start to show.

In the end, your SEO efforts really matter. Whether yours, or that of your hired SEO agency, SEO efforts are as important as the results. It may take some time for results to show, but remember that delay is not denial.
